Roger Parry & Partners have welcomed the new Local Land Charges (LLC) Service, due to be launched next week, as it will speed up the property and land sales process in the future.

From 11 July 2018, Her Majesty’s Land Registry will launch a new digital Local Land Charges (LLC) Register. After this date LLC searches for property or land will be able to be done directly by companies rather than having to wait for a Local Authority to provide the information.

Warwick District Council is set to be the first to launch the new Local Land Charges service on 11 July, and then HM Land Registry is working in partnership with up to 26 local authorities in England over 2018 and 2019 to migrate their LLC data to a central, digital register as part of a phased migration approach.

Once the data is migrated, companies will be able to get instant online search results via GOV.UK and the other HM Land Registry business customer channels; portal and Business Gateway.
