Associate, Chartered Surveyor

Clare joined Roger Parry and Partners in July 2010 after finishing a course in Rural Enterprise and Land Management at Harper Adams University College, having previously worked at a firm in Cheshire on her placement year. She became a qualified rural practice Chartered Surveyor (RICS) in 2012 and in 2018 she was promoted to an Associate of the company. Clare is also a RICS Registered Valuer.

Clare is able to advise clients in Basic Payment Scheme and Grants in Wales and England, Sustainable Farming Incentive (SFI), Countryside Stewardship, Glastir, Sales and Letting of Residential, Rural and Commercial Property, Planning, Valuations, Landlord and Tenant matters, and Compulsory Purchase. Clare works with our clients across mid Wales and Shropshire for Basic Payment Scheme advice, both in Wales and England and has a wealth of in-depth knowledge about agricultural policy.

Clare grew up on a dairy farm near Llanidloes in Mid Wales and was a very active member of Montgomeryshire Young Farmers Club and still acts as Club Leader. Through YFC she has travelled to farms in Texas and Argentina, and was selected for the 2019 Agri Academy Business and Innovation group set up by the Welsh Govenment and Farming Connect where she has met with industry leaders and visited farms in south west England, the Netherlands and north Wales. She is also Secretary for the Upper Severn Grassland Society.
