LAND INFORMATION Cefn Uchaf woodland is a 15.76 acre block of woodland situated on generally fertile soils which are free-draining apart from the valley bottom. There are a wide range of species growing here, with some thinning carried out before 2007. Management of the wood has been enabled by the construction of access tracks into the woodland. Stocking is variable but there are good trees still ready for harvesting. A sensitive management plan will improve the woodland and release the amenity and wildlife potential.
Cefn Uchaf woodland is an attractive hillside, multi purpose woodland with both amenity and natural capital value with some good quality timber. The wood offers an appealing small investment opportunity from the nature of the attractive location. The selection of trees species offers greenery in leaf and needle in all seasons and diversity of tree species in a changeable climate. There is a small stream running through the centre of the woodland which runs throughout the year. DESCRIPTION The woodland is a mixed planted woodland of 1957, which is situated on both sides of a small valley. The stream running through provides running water off the top of the surrounding hills.
Access into the woodland is good with an established track from the council road at the south entrance of the wood (H). There is also a right of way which runs from the southern point on the main council road running from Llangollen to the northern tip of the wood (A-B).
