The small grant – woodland creation provides grant funding for woodland planting of up to 1.99ha per application. These can be planted in blocks across the holding as long as the blocks are 0.1ha or above. There is funding for additional capital works which include fencing and gates. The grant includes maintenance and a premium payment for 12 years once the trees have been planted. Open now until 24th March 2023

Payment rates

Grant funding for:

• Capital funding – £2,100-£4,500/ha for tree planting

Additional Capital Works include:

• Fencing – £5.56/m

• Timber Bridle Gate & Posts – £151.44 each

• Timber Kissing Gate & Posts – £181 each

12 Year Annual Payments

• Maintenance – £60/ha

• Premium – £350/ha
