4th October 2023

Farming families in Wales face huge barriers when it comes to providing housing for future generations. Roger Parry & Partners are leading discussions in getting planning policy and government proposals to address this issue which is vital for agricultural businesses to survive.

During the recent Royal Welsh Show leading planning consultants, Roger Parry & Partners hosted a Workshop to discuss everything about housing on farms.

Roger Parry & Partners’ in-house planning consultants Richard Corbett, Gerallt Davies and Gail Jenkins were joined by Sioned Davies, Planning Barrister from No5 Barristers Chambers and Caryl Haf, former Wales YFC Chair, at the event held in the CLA pavilion.

Richard Corbett, Partner at Roger Parry & Partners said, “We’re aware of a massive problem in Wales where housing is needed for farming families. Farms face huge barriers to provide future generations with housing. We want to take things further and make the discussion more important in planning policies and government proposals.”

Roger Parry & Partners were also proud sponsors of the CLA Next Generation Reception at the Royal Welsh Show and the Shearing event.

Tudor Watkins, Partner at Roger Parry & Partners said, “It was a proud moment to be sponsoring the shearing at the Royal Welsh Show 2023, we look forward to continuing our involvement with this amazing traditional and spectacular national event in the future.”
