We were pleased to work with Garthmyl Hall, a luxury wedding venue, to gain planning consent for The Boat House to provide extra accommodation for wedding guests. Gerallt Davies, Partner and Planning Consultant, worked with the clients and Powys County Council Planning Authority to create the Boat House that would integrate with the pool, the surrounding Listed Buildings and the landscape. Surrounded by wild flowers in the summer months, guests can even take a dip in the pool before lounging on the deck by the firepit.
We’ve also been involved in their recent project to build an orangery to extend Garthmyl Hall. The Hall is Grade II listed and so the planning application included a Heritage Impact Assessment and detailed designs to ensure the new Orangery would respect the design and setting of the existing Hall. We’re looking forward to the completed Orangery in 2026 and seeing how well it compliments Garthmyl Hall, whilst providing much needed space for the wedding venue.
