The Sustainable Farming Incentive 2026 will open in two stages, with Window 1 opening 30th June 2026 for priority applicants and Window 2 opening in September 2026 for all eligible farmers and land managers.

Key points:

• Window 1: Available to farms under 50ha, or those without an existing agri-environmental agreement.

• Window 2: All other farms

• A maximum agreement value of £100,000 per year per farm business.

• Agreements will typically run for three years, with quarterly payments.

• 71 actions are available, covering areas such as soil health, nutrient management, integrated pest management, precision farming, agroforestry, water management and habitat creation.

Funding is limited and application windows may close once the available budget has been allocated. While we are still awaiting confirmation of the exact opening date in June, we encourage you to register your interest with us now.
