A sponsorship of £450 has been given to Montgomery YFC to help fund the Arts and Crafts Section of the Eisteddfod, which will be taking place on Saturday, 5 November 2016, at Llanfyllin High School, Llanfyllin.
On presenting the cheque, Tudor Watkins, senior partner and manager at the Welshpool Roger Parry & Partners office said: “Roger Parry and Partners are keen to show their support to Montgomery YFC and to its pinnacle cultural event. The activities YFC offer hundreds of local young people are a great contributor to rural life and Roger Parry & Partners are delighted to be able to sponsor one of the most prestigious events – the County Eisteddfod Arts and Crafts Section.”
Lucy Jones, Vice-Chairman of Montgomery YFC’s Eisteddfod Committee said: “As a charitable organisation, facing local authority funding cuts, sponsors are now central players to the movement. It would be a struggle to continue to offer the opportunities that our 800 members have access to without sponsors, therefore, it is with great thanks to companies like Roger Parry and Partners who have chosen to support us and indeed the future generation of the farming industry.”
Tudor Watkins will be attending the Eisteddfod to present a trophy to the overall winners of the Arts & Crafts Section.
