Following formal training in building surveying he set up his own practice in 1981. Initially specialising in agency, valuation and survey work he was then one of the first in the Country to begin trading milk quota in 1985, developing one of the main quota agencies in the U.K. His farming background and involvement in agricultural quota lead to the development of a substantial agricultural Client base nationwide. Regular instructions from farmers and landowners, on a wide range of property issues, followed with a particular specialism in the planning and development of traditional farm buildings.

Since the late 1990’s and the changes in the dairy industry he has increased focus on agency, survey and valuation work along with specialist planning and development advice, including appeals and expert witness work.

Following career development with several building firms he joined Roger Parry in 1990 to focus on development of the firms architectural and planning services work. This is his specialism and he provides clients with detailed planning and design advice, undertaking planning applications, appeals, consultations, building regulations and project management work.

After graduating from the Royal Agricultural College with a diploma in Rural Estate Management he joined Roger Parry as a qualified rural practice chartered surveyor in 1997, following a number of years private practice in Wiltshire. From a farming background he specialises in all agricultural matters and estate management, including valuations, entitlements and quotas, landlord and tenant issues, compulsory purchase and compensation, farm management and expert witness work. He also undertakes some commercial and residential work.

A graduate of the Royal Agricultural College he joined Roger Parry in 2000 following several years in Lancashire, where he worked as a rural practice chartered surveyor and auctioneer. With a Welsh-farming background he manages the Welshpool office and specialises in all agricultural matters including agency, valuations, compulsory purchase and compensation, utilities work and auctioneering along with residential work. He is also Welsh speaking.
